Lors de la cérémonie des The Game Awards 2024, qui s'est tenue au Peacock Theater de Los Angeles, les jeux de l'année ont reçu leurs récompenses. Au cours de cette soirée, où des prix ont été distribués dans 30 catégories différentes, la récompense la plus attendue était celle du « Jeu de l'année ».

AU MILIEU DE LA CONFUSION, ASTRO BOT EST DEVENU LE JEU DE L'ANNÉE

Dans la catégorie Jeu de l'année (GOTY), qui incluait pour la première fois un DLC cette année, ce qui a suscité le mécontentement de nombreuses personnes, c'est Astro Bot qui l'a emporté. Ayant commencé son parcours comme une démo technique pour la console PlayStation 5 avant d'être transformé en jeu complet par Team ASOBI, Astro Bot a remporté 4 prix, obtenant ainsi le titre de jeu le plus récompensé de la soirée.
