Dans le communiqué publié par Fenerbahçe Beko concernant ce départ, il est indiqué : "Nous nous sommes séparés de notre joueur Johnathan Motley, qui figurait dans les effectifs de Fenerbahçe Beko pour les saisons 2022-23 et 2023-24. Nous remercions Johnathan Motley pour sa contribution à la famille Fenerbahçe et lui souhaitons beaucoup de succès dans la nouvelle étape de sa carrière."

Il est rapporté que la nouvelle destination de Motley, après avoir quitté Fenerbahçe Beko, sera Israël. Le pivot américain a conclu un accord avec l'Hapoel Tel-Aviv pour la nouvelle saison.
