A C-130 cargo plane belonging to the Ministry of National Defense (MSB), which had taken off from Azerbaijan and was traveling to Turkey, crashed in a region near the Georgian border around noon on November 11.

It was announced that all 20 personnel on board were martyred. Following the accident, large-scale search and rescue operations were launched in the region.

The black box, seen as the most important element to shed light on the cause of the accident, was found as a result of investigations carried out in the wreckage area.

Officials reported that the black box contains flight data, communication records, and technical information regarding the accident.

It was announced that the aircraft parts, along with the black box recovered from the crash site, have been brought to Kayseri.

THE 27-MINUTE MYSTERY IS UNDER INVESTIGATION

It was determined that the plane disappeared from radar 27 minutes after taking off from Azerbaijan.

The time interval when the accident occurred is considered the most critical point of the investigation.

Expert teams will examine technical malfunctions, loss of altitude, or communication interruptions that occurred during this 27-minute period using the data to be obtained from the black box.

Sources from the Ministry of National Defense stated that the exact cause of the accident will be determined after the examination of the black box.

It was reported that the data contained within the box includes critical information such as the flight route, engine status, in-cabin recordings, and pilot communications.

The findings to be obtained from the black box are expected to reveal both the cause of the accident and the technical or environmental factors that led to the plane disappearing from radar.

WHAT HAPPENED?

The cargo plane, which took off from Trabzon at 09:50 on the morning of November 11, first landed in the city of Ganja, Azerbaijan, at 11:06.

After waiting there for a while, the plane took off from Ganja at 13:20 to come to Turkey and disappeared from radar 27 minutes after takeoff. The cause of the plane's crash is not yet clear.

The black box, a recording mechanism that processes radio conversations inside the plane and the aircraft's systems, will shed light on the mystery. While experts are working on a preliminary report at the wreckage, it was learned that the parts collected from the field and the recovered black box would be taken to the military base in Kayseri for examination.
